Stop before you call.

If you need to contact a cruise line, tour operator, or resort, don’t assume the first phone number that appears in a Google search is legitimate.
Scammers are creating fake customer service listings and convincing travelers they owe additional fees, need to “verify” their reservation, or must make an immediate payment. Unfortunately, many people don’t realize they’ve been scammed until it’s too late.
We’ve heard firsthand from clients and fellow travel advisors about these situations—and the scams are becoming more sophisticated.
Always verify you’re calling the company’s official number, or better yet, contact your travel advisor Wells Travel LLC first.
A Staple in Our Suitcase

Several years ago, we discovered Ginger Chews after I got sick in Mexico. (Pro tip: Don’t drink the water…or the ice! Yes, I learned that the hard way!)
Since then, Ginger Chews have become a must-pack travel essential. Made with real ginger, they’re great for settling an upset stomach—whether it’s something you ate or motion sickness.
A few other remedies we like to keep in mind:
Green apples
Ginger ale
Ginger beer
Psi Bands
Everyone has their favorite travel remedy. What’s your go-to when an upset stomach tries to interrupt your vacation?
Before You Leave Home

Last-Minute Checklist
☐ Passport
☐ Wallet
☐ Phone
☐ Phone charger (and any other device chargers)
☐ Medications
☐ Glasses (or contacts and supplies, if needed)
☐ Keys (house and car)
Before you head out the door, do one last check: passport, wallet, phone, and keys. It only takes a few seconds and can save you a lot of stress later!
Have you ever left home without one of these essentials—or made it all the way to the airport before realizing your passport was still sitting on the kitchen counter? Have you ever checked your passport, or know someone who has? We’ve had a few interesting experiences over the years! They’re funny now… but they definitely weren’t at the time.
Tell us your funniest travel “oops” moment in the comments—we’d love to hear it!
Fun fact: We have a suitcase that’s spent more time in Rome than we have.
We’ve also arrived in Dublin for an overnight stay… only to discover our luggage wasn’t joining us. Thanks to a baggage tag mix-up back in Ohio, our suitcases had their own travel plans.

The lesson? Always pack a change of clothes and your essential medications in your carry-on. And trust us—your future self will also appreciate a toothbrush, deodorant, and maybe a clean pair of socks. Your luggage might decide to sightsee without you!
Where in the world will you go next? Whether your bags behave themselves or not, our team at Wells Travel LLC will help you plan a trip worth remembering.
Drop your next dream destination in the comments—or tell us about your funniest luggage story!
